Örlygur Kristfinnsson

Örlygur Kristfinnsson, born in 1949, studied at the Art and Craft School of Iceland. Upon graduation he continued teaching for many years. As an employee and founding member of the Herring Era Museum of Iceland he is surrounded by herring history. The watercolors in his book, Story from a Herring Fjord, provide a glimpse of the the vanished world of fishermen and workers of 1907.
