Location

The Herring Museum is located in the town Siglufjörður in the district of Fjallabyggð in Tröllaskagi, the North Central Iceland.

By Car: Access by car or bus is possible via tunnels both east and west of town. The route is spectacular, traversing magnificent mountains and the second longest tunnel in Iceland - the Héðinsfjörður tunnel, which is 7.1 km (from Héðinsfjörður to Ólafsfjörður).

By Bus: To and from Akureyri (77 km southeast). Buses run daily except Saturdays.
